Magnetic bead-based kit streamlines genomic DNA extraction

Integra Biosciences has introduced the Clean Blood & Tissue DNA Kit, a magnetic bead-based solution for genomic DNA (gDNA) isolation from blood, buffy coat, tissue and cultured cells.

Designed to simplify and automate DNA extraction workflows, the kit delivers high purity and strong yields while reducing reliance on traditional spin column protocols that typically require multiple centrifugation steps.

The magnetic bead-based method integrates with ASSIST PLUS pipetting robot and HEATMAG module, enabling automated lysis, washing and elution steps for consistent and reproducible results.

In performance testing, the kit demonstrated high DNA yield and reliable purity, with compatibility for downstream qPCR applications. The automated workflow also reduced hands-on time and improved reproducibility, supporting routine use in genomics and molecular biology laboratories.

The Clean Blood & Tissue DNA Kit is available in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.
