New Chairman for Eurom II

EUROM II, the European association of trade associations related to laboratory technology and optics supply, has elected France to become the holder of its presidency for the next three years and Francis Pithon (of Fabrilabo) has become the chairman. Francis has many years experience in running Fabrilabo and before that several French laboratory technology companies. Additionally he had been the Eurom II chairman in the early 2000’s. He takes over from Tim Collins of GAMBICA who was the previous Chairman. The presidency will be run as a partnership between the three French trade associations, CIFL, AFOP (GIFO ) and FABRILABO.

Eurom II allows EU trade associations to work together on issues concerning regulations and standards as well as sharing best practise, statistics and developing relationships around the world for the benefit of its members. The associations within Eurom II include; GAMBICA (UK), SPECTARIS (Germany), IHT (Holland), UDIAS (Belgium), LABMAS (Spain), GISI (Italy), FABRILABO, CIFL and AFOP (France).
