A glimpse at Memmert   New Memmert CO2 incubator ICO

Under the motto ‘Safety at all times’, Memmert introduced the new CO2 incubator ICO at the analytica 2016 trade show. The appliance is available in four sizes and is equipped with diverse functions to guarantee safety and easy operation.

The state-of-the-art CO2 incubator ICO has extensive safety features: As operating display, logging and CO2 control are battery-buffered, they remain fully functional - even during a power failure. It goes without saying that, without exception, all parameters are logged in compliance with FDA. In addition to the regular alarm, an alarm notification can be sent to a mobile phone if the individually adjustable ranges concerning CO2, oxygen, temperature and humidity are exceeded.

The control technology is so finely tuned that the setpoint temperature is guaranteed to be reached without temperature overshoots. Thanks to its rounded corners, the interior is easy to clean and can be sterilised within 60 minutes at 180°C (including all installations and sensors).

Easy and quick operation

All parameters can be set easily and quickly with the operating display, the ControlCOCKPIT or the software AtmoCONTROL. The shutter box can be opened, allowing fast access to controls. Maintenance is possible even if the appliances are stacked. The appliance has USB and ethernet connections as well as a data logger with a ten-year storage capacity. Data can be read and programmes can be transferred by remote access.

Active humidity control minimises vaporisation

Just like all Memmert appliances with controlled humidity supply, the new ICO also offers an active humidity control between 40 and 97 % rh. It minimises vaporisation in the interior and ensures short recovery times after the door has been opened. Together with the heating of the interior from all six sides incl. the heated inner glass door, it avoids the dangerous formation of condensation.
