Krüss stirs interfacial tension analysis with a completely new measuring technique. The TVA100 Top View Analyser measures the contact angle using the image of light spots, which are mirrored by the curved surface of

the drop. Contact angles in the lower range (down to 1.5°), which in the past it has been difficult to approach, can be measured with particular precision using this method. Measurements on concave surfaces or in recesses,

for example on microtitre plates or populated circuit boards, are a further speciality of the new method. The view from above makes wetting inhomogeneities immediately visible. Surface energy measurements can be

carried out thanks to the insensitive precision dosing unit with a wide range of liquids. The measuring head is available as a module for established Krüss units or as an independent gantry system for the non-contact

investigation of large samples.
