Liquid metals and slag, molten glass, ceramics at their firing temperature: the DSAHT from Krüss is the expert for the optical investigation of melting and wetting processes on extremely hot samples. The clear shadow image of the sample provides information about the melting behavior – for example for ash fusibility as per ASTM D1857. The shape of a molten drop on a solid sample makes wetting visible. Versions up to 1200, 1500 or 1750°C, for oxidising, reducing or inert atmospheres or for measurements under vacuum cover a wide range of measuring applications. Close-to-sample temperature measurement, film shots of the drop, comfortable sample changing and versatile software for drop shape analysis round off the program.
