In time for the Analytica Vietnam, A. Kruess Optronic presents a small software revolution for its flagship polarimeter P8000.

The improvements and extensions made are almost a quantum jump in regards to the software. The user will first note the new touchscreen – to some the system is already known from Kruess’ refractometer DR 6000.

Working with both devices is now become very convenient as both run on the same self-explanatory system.

User applications have been extended: administrator and user accounts can be opened, individual adjustments are protected by passwords, sample numbers, charges and free text can be added and edited.

The database is storing 999 values and all attached information – an interval measurement of up to 99 single measurements is stored as one value, which multiplies the total amount of possible stored values. It can be decided later which values should be kept and exported.

For exporting, the new USB-function allows data transfer as excel or html files.

Individual measuring methods can be programmed, including substance specific scales. Between turns, the P8000 goes on stand-by in order to save current. It doesn’t affect the extremely fast measurements irrespective of the rotation sample – still unachieved by other polarimeters.
