Equinox balances deliver tremendous precision and superior readability

Jun 06 2018

Available in a wide selection of semi-micro, analytical and precision models, the Equinox series is Adam Equipment’s most advanced line of balances to date.

With the unique combination of high capacity and superb analytical readability, the Equinox provides an exceptional value for any lab. Equinox balances are available in models with capacities up to 8200g and readabilities of 0.01mg, 1mg and 0.01g. The Equinox models with 410g and 510g capacities feature a readability of 0.1mg, making them an ideal choice for complex lab work.

The Equinox is well-suited for a variety of settings, including research and quality assurance labs; science education; precision counting; and any production and manufacturing applications that require extremely precise results.

A colour touchscreen display provides intuitive operation, with icon-driven menus and easy-to-access functions. The five-inch screen features 800 X 480 pixel resolution and can be customised with a choice of five colors. Designed with the formulation and recipe function and 3,000-item database, users are able to store and recall ingredients, sample weights and checkweight limits.

Printouts provided by the balance include the date and time, which are essential for traceability and data tracking requirements for adherence to Good Laboratory Practice guidelines. The Equinox contains a USB interface that accommodates a memory card, which allows any results to be saved quickly and easily. For uncomplicated data transmission, an RS-232 interface is available to provide speedy connection to computers and printers.

Each Equinox analytical balance is equipped with a draft shield that features sliding glass doors. The draft shield helps eliminate the effects of wind on the balance, improving the accuracy of results. Selectable digital filtering minimises any vibration and disturbances that could affect results. The Equinox features a level indicator, which helps to ensure proper balance setup and optimum weighing results. External calibration allows verification and adjustment with weights. Some Equinox models are available with internal calibration.

Balances are an important investment, which is why all Equinox balances incorporate security features to provide added protection. Password control requires proper verification before the balance can be accessed, preventing any unauthorised access to the balance and helping to ensure that all settings remain unchanged. Equinox balances also are designed with a special slot that accommodates an optional Kensington-type lock and cable, helping to prevent theft.
