New Decontamination Service Delivers High-Level Virus Kill Rate
Apr 02 2020
Arena Instrumentation have rolled out a new decontamination service which can kill COVID-19 called Phileas. After much research in to the Phileas technology the company have proven evidence of it being able to kill the virus on hard surfaces.
Arena Instrumentation have redirected its focus, infrastructure and expert engineers to help in the fight against the virus, by implementing the unparalleled Phileas Technology. Phileas delivers the highest level of kill rate on viruses, which is a million to one or ‘six-log reduction’. The company genuinely believe this technology can help the NHS as well as other numerous organisations and industries in decontaminating essential equipment such as, ambulances, wards and ventilators which is currently of the essence.
With COVID-19 being an enveloped virus, the outer envelope would often minimise the efficacy of fogging systems, however the Phileas Technology can overcome this and has been independently validated to meet the European AFNOR NFT 72781 version 2014. Recent studies by the HSE have commended its performance and found it to be the most effective hydrogen peroxide system on the market. The technology had been implemented in China in several hospitals including Longgang Hospital in Guangdong Province and Shajing Hospital in Shenzhen.
The easy to use Phileas system produces an extremely fine fog using microdroplet technology, capable of spreading in a homogenous way. A single machine can treat a room volume up to 800m3, with multiple machines controlled wirelessly to treat much larger spaces than any other fogging systems on the market.
Arena Instrumentation are proud to carry out a vast range of services to over 75% of NHS hospitals nationally and wish to continue providing support to the NHS and other organisations in any way possible in the eradication of COVID-19.
