A New Generation Of Compact Laboratory Equipment

Mar 22 2011

Telstar’s new compact laboratory equipment will be presented in Arablab trade fair. Telstar has developed a new generation of biological safety cabinets, which are more compact and optimise the usable work area. Intended for the laminar flow manipulation of microorganisms with biological risk levels 2 and 3, the new range of Telstar Bio II Advance cabinets offers an ergonomic design that adapts easily to small spaces, especially in laboratories with low ceilings and where various pieces of equipment need to be used in the same area. With all the features of a high-end cabinet, the Bio II Advance is designed to protect the user, the sample and the environment, and is notable for its reduced external dimensions while maintaining an optimum inner work space. With a width of 759mm, the height of the Bio II Advance is up to 20% less than the market average.

The Bio II Advance has incorporated the 4F system, a patented system that makes it possible to replace the filter in just five minutes thanks to quick access via the front of the cabinet.

In the field of laboratory freeze dryers specially designed for R+D, Telstar’s LyoBeta laboratory freeze dryer will be presented in Arablab too. Its Telstar freeze drying unit designed for pilot phase development of biotechnology, pharmacy and food research products. It is a compact, GLP design, which allows for performing the freeze drying process automatically in addition to accurately monitoring it. Among the range of Telstar freeze dryers for laboratory, it also highlights LyoQuest, which is the latest Telstar innovation that has a condensation capacity of 8 litres and can carry out pre-freezing, primary drying, and secondary drying processes. It’s the only benchtop laboratory freeze dryer on the market that combines this breadth of functionality into a single unit so that users can perform complete cycles on a range of sample containers (vials, trays, ampoules, and flasks) using the same piece of equipment. LyoAlfa line, meanwhile, is particularly suitable for research units requiring greater freeze-drying capacity. Its console design with casters makes it easy to install. It is a very flexible unit allowing for simultaneous freeze-drying of bottles, vials or bulk products by connecting manifold or chamber systems.
