Telstar will be unveiling ‘LyoQuest’, the latest in its line of laboratory freeze dryers, which has a condensation capacity of 8 litres and can carry out pre-freezing, primary drying, and secondary drying processes. This new innovation is the only bench-top laboratory freeze dryer on the market that combines this breadth of functionality into a single unit so that users can perform complete cycles on a range of sample containers (vials, trays, ampoules, and flasks) using the same piece of equipment.

In addition to being versatile, LyoQuest also allows users to create recipes comprising time, temperature and vacuum control thanks to its integrated PLC control system. This easy-to-use device includes a touch-screen HMI with an intuitive menu and mimic diagram. The ‘LyoLogger’ monitoring software enables connection of the unit to a PC so collected data can be transferred to files for analysis using Microsoft Excel. The software also makes it possible to view graphs showing the pressure, condenser temperature, and, if working with a chamber, product and tray temperature as well. The innovative design of this freeze dryer results in an extremely compact unit with large condensation capacity. The LyoQuest’s ice condenser is made from AISI 316L stainless steel and includes an automatic defrosting function for quick and easy deicing. Furthermore, its design enables many product formats to be pre-frozen by the device, without the need for an additional freezer.

This LyoQuest freeze dryer is specially designed for labs in research and development departments of universities, hospitals, scientific institutes, biotechnology centres, pharmaceutical companies, and food companies.
