The new pipetting module for the Brand Liquid Handling Station enables new applications for pipetting robots.

With the new pipetting module (Liquid End) for Brand’s Liquid Handling Station pipetting robot, even large volume, 8-channel pipetting tasks up to 1 ml with high throughput can now be automated easily and efficiently.

The new pipetting module has already proven successful in many applications in the areas of sample preparation and dispensing, microbiology and immunology. Some examples include: multi-dispensing of nutrient media in microplates or dosing up to 1 ml in deep-well plates or sample tubes; quick automated dispensing of large quantities of buffers from reservoirs in microplates and deep well plates; creation of cell assays, ELISA applications or dispensing of magnetic bead solutions in combination with ultra-low retention tips.

Using the new liquid end is easy and efficient. The liquid end can be replaced by the user in just a few seconds - no tools required. Thanks to the precision mount, later adjustment is not necessary. If the method requires exchanging the liquid end, the Brand software informs the user in a dialogue window, as well as via e-mail upon request. Software version 4.0, which is required to use the new liquid ends, is also available as a software update for existing Liquid Handling Stations currently in use.

The Liquid Handling Station offers flexibility for small and medium sample sizes and a variety of pipetting tasks. The new, now available liquid end, matching robotic tips and application-specific accessories create an extensive design kit for your pipetting robot to automate laboratory tasks and make procedures more efficient.
