CeDo has entered the cook-in-bag market with a radical new polymer-based bag design for home cooking. The ‘Quick Steam’ bag is being sold into the market at a very competitive price and is already selling well off the

supermarket shelves under CeDo’s own Poly-Lina brand label.

Early signs are that CeDo’s competitive pricing is ensuring the consumer uptake of the new style of convenience cooking. The Quick Steam bag features a PET laminate film on the outside of the bag – and a cast polypropylene for the food-contact inside of the bag. A system of channelled vents helps ventilate the bag during the cooking process. No additional water is needed and, in addition, the environmental energy saving in the radical reduction of cooking time gives the Quick Steam bag another consumer benefit. CeDo’s closed loop recycling schemes and environmental know-how have been greatly responsible for the growth in CeDo’s UK market share.
