Chem Service has once again continued its growth and quality assurance in being able to provide the best certified references materials for customers.  In addition to updating its labelling to meet GHS guidelines and additional quality testing utilising UPLC/MS techniques, Chem Service now produce Guide 34 certified neat standards continuing to set the standard in the industry.

This accreditation deals with reference material, or chemical standard producers.  In order for a company to become Guide 34 accredited, all procedures used to certify and produce their standards must be validated and proven to be accurate.  This certification also requires an uncertainty to be reported on the Certificate of Analysis.  The uncertainty includes all sources of error involved in producing and testing the standard.  The Certificate of Analysis for a Guide 34 certified product must observe strict rules set by the ISO committee for what information is provided.

Guide 34 certified reference materials meet the highest level of quality assurance, passing both homogeneity and stability testing.  Homogeneity testing ensures the product is uniform within and between packages, i.e. no matter where the material is sampled from (top, bottom, or middle), a consistent result is found.  Stability testing is used to show the product retains its quality through its expiration date and under transportation conditions under proper storage and handling.  What does this mean for you?  It gives you the confidence of knowing you are obtaining and testing with the highest quality reference standards on the market backed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
