Exceeding the excellent features of DURAN® borosilicate glass 3.3 the new, top-of-the-range SCHOTT DURAN® Premium Bottle, from Duran Produktions GmbH, with its additional benefits emphasizes the idea of "safety first" and simplifies handling in the laboratory.
Equipped with a particularly temperature resistant screw-cap with PTFE-coated silicone seal with pouring ring, which can be used from 196 °C to +260 °C, the Premium Bottle provides very low leakage rates for both liquids and gases. The closure complies with USP/FDA guidelines and is Drug Master File registered.
The Premium Bottle's 160 °K thermal shock resistance is guaranteed in accordance with the strict guidelines of TÜV Rheinland visualised by the GS symbol for approved safety. The graduated scale is accurate to +/- 5% and the extra reverse scale permits metering both the current content and the quantity removed.
Its high thermal shock resistance in combination with the colorant-free screw-cap makes the Premium Bottle ideal for use in sophisticated thermal processes such as hot-air sterilisation, dry sterilisation and depyrogenisation. The Premium Bottle is also ideal for packaging applications, e.g. for pharmaceutical substances.
