Erlab introduces Halo, a new ceiling mounted laboratory air filtration system

May 07 2014

Halo has been designed by Erlab, expert in air filtration for the protection of laboratory personnel since 1968, to offer an innovative solution for the lab air quality improvement and the safe reduction of air change rates.

Halo is a standalone, ceiling mounted air filtration system which treats the laboratory air continuously while returning clean air back to the lab.

Its unique sensor detects permanently the laboratory air quality level to ventilate and filter the air in case of chemical pollution. The power of the Neutrodine filtration technology, also used in the GreenFumeHood, capture and retain a broad range of acids, bases and solvents, making it perfect for any laboratory pollutants.

Halo is simply installed in the ceiling grid like other fixtures (lights, chilled beams, grilles, etc) and is HVAC free. No duct work is necessary; multiple units can be networked to increase their coverage area.

HALO communicates any sensed issues to all occupants by a simple LED light pulsation with the assurance that the air is always being cleaned. Its exclusive embedded web service allows each unit to deliver real time status working conditions, accessible via any Smartphone, tablet or computer.

Break the status quo of using more fresh air that requires complicated and expensive airflow control systems, air quality sensing systems, or building management systems programming. Halo filters the air continuously, delivering equivalent Air Change Rates (eACH) for safety and energy savings in the lab environment. With its very low 50W energy consumption, the ROI is very fast.

Erlab’s history of filtration expertise, independent testing , and proven superior filtration retention make the Halo air filtration system perfect for the labs of today and tomorrow.
