Aquamax KF and Total Acid Number titrators
Dec 09 2009
The GR Scientific family of titrators has been expanded, there are now three different models available.
• Aquamax KF Coulometric titrator for determination of low water contents, typically from 1ppm up to 5%
• Aquamax KF Volumetric titrator for higher water contents
• Aquamax TAN titrator for total acid number determination
Coulometric Karl Fischer Titration is an excellent technique for measuring low concentrations of water, even down to very low ppm levels, and many industries have adopted this as their standard methodology. However there are some sample applications and industry sectors which require determination of much higher water contents – for these a Volumetric Karl Fischer Titrator is often more suitable. For the determination of acidic constituents in petroleum products, lubricants and transformer oils, the preferred method is ASDTM D664. The Aquamax TAN total acid number titrator has been designed specifically for this application. Image Aquamax TAN
