The PowderJet accessory for the LA-960 Laser Particle Size Analyser has set a new record for minimum sample requirement. The LA-960 PowderJet accurately measured the particle size distribution of several dry powders using less than 10 milligrams per run. The materials varied in size from 300 nanometers to 20 microns, proving that the technology and method may be used for a wide range of applications. For applications with high material costs, this breakthrough will provide significant savings while maintaining the accuracy and precision expected of modern particle size analysis.

The LA-960 PowderJet achieves this high performance through a combination of innovative hardware design, complete automation, and refined software controls. The vertical design of the PowderJet ensures the entire sample is delivered through the measurement zone. Sample delivery is automatically adjusted every few milliseconds to maximise powder dispersion. Measurement and automation settings are stored in the LA-960 software so that every operator runs the sample the same way every time.

The LA-960 PowderJet measures dry samples from 100 nanometers to 5 millimeters using one measurement setup. The HORIBA LA-960 has the solution to every measurement question.
