HORIBA provides an extensive array of instruments and systems for R&D and QC laboratories, specialising in Raman, fluorescence, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), micro-spectroscopy, fluid control, water quality, gas analysis, particle size, and elemental analysis.

HORIBA has a long history of developing innovative technologies to advance science, now supplying over 500 types of scientific analysers to research, analysis, and QC scientists in laboratories globally within universities and research institutes, government, and various manufacturing industries. It is this multiplicity in cutting-edge analytical technology that places HORIBA in a unique position to support our world as it evolves and responds to new scientific challenges.

Supporting multiple industries

Providing multi-faceted data solutions for many niche markets, HORIBA’s analysers are used across a diverse range of industries, including automotive R&D, process and environmental monitoring, in-vitro medical diagnostics, semiconductor manufacturing and metrology, to name but a few. For instance, particle characterisation is an important part of QC processes in the production of cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and nanomaterials, in addition to the analysis of soils and wastewater for contaminants. Highlighting its diversity of users, HORIBA’s extensive particle analysis portfolio includes the Partica LA-960 which uses laser diffraction to provide comprehensive characterisation of particles across a plethora of materials, from cannabidiol to gold nanoparticles, to soil and sediment.

Technological excellence and technical support

Supported by its global network of experienced service and support engineers, applications scientists, and technicians, HORIBA can help with application development, training, and technical support. HORIBA provides valuable guidance with hands-on learning on customer site, or at its facilities, supporting the user to obtain the best data possible from their samples.

HORIBA's leadership is not only limited to customer support, but also in technological design, with many patented solutions, such as the Duetta™ two-in-one spectrofluorometer. The Duetta™ is the fastest spectrofluorometer in the world, enabling greatly enhanced workflow in research labs and institutions as it can simultaneously perform both fluorescence and absorbance measurements, maximising efficiency, and valuable laboratory time.

Highest quality instrumentation

HORIBA fully supports all R&D and QC laboratories by enabling the highest quality of manufacture and analysis techniques with state-of-the-art instrumentation. It is committed to providing solutions that improve efficiency and reduce labour and time. For example, its new LabRAM Soleil™ is the pinnacle of 50 years of expertise in Raman spectroscopy, combining advanced automation with quicker performance and intuitive software. From materials studies to polymers, and biological to pharmaceutical laboratories, the LabRAM Soleil™ can be easily adapted for each application and is ready to work 24-hours a day with minimal human supervision.

Celebrating 70 years

In 2023, HORIBA celebrates 70 years of authentic excellence and commitment to developing cutting-edge analytical and measurement products for scientific advancement. Supporting this aim, in addition to advanced technologies, it continues to provide expert application and technical support to assist customers with analytical method development, data analysis, and training. Its customer support staff continue to receive the highest quality of education and training, so HORIBA customers can always use their instruments to their fullest potential.
