The Automatic Temperature Log System
May 28 2010
ICU Scandinavia AB offered Boomerang, a system for temperature monitoring and quality assurance in laboratories, at the Analytica 2010 exhibition.
With the Boomerang system users easily supervise and assure a high quality level in their laboratory. Boomerang automatically collects information about temperatures in refrigerators, freezers, incubators or heating
cabinets. An alarm goes off instantly when the temperature exceeds the predetermined limits. Boomerang is based on flexibility and offers many different ways of receiving alarms, such as SMS, e-mail or pager.
"Since demands for quality routines in labs, set by the authorities today, consume a lot of man-hours, we designed the Boomerang to automate as much as possible of the required work,” siad Per Hammargren, Sales Director at ICU Scandinavia. "It is very easy to install and use. It saves time and increases the safety throughout the daily operation in laboratories."
ICU Scandinavia installed the first Boomerang in 1998. Automatic and continuous monitoring is a must for achieving high quality in a lab. When doing this work manually, there is a big risk for poor documentation and it is also a very time consuming work for the lab personnel. Boomerang offers a safe and secure alternative.
