IKA launches its product film about the magnetic stirrer RCT basic safety control. The new product film about the magnetic

stirrer RCT basic safety control winkingly demonstrates a “that-was-close” lab mishap. In less than two minutes, the viewer follows the young lab assistant Lilly from the time she wakes up late to her workplace.

The fast-paced 100-second clip illustrates a principle concern of IKA:

safety always has priority in the lab. After all, wherever people are working under pressure on complex projects, carelessness sometimes can occur. In order to prevent mishaps from causing damages, machines must operate error-free and protect their users from dangers.

“Nobody is perfect” also goes for people working in labs. The claim

“Designed to work perfectly” therefore obligates to build reliable machines that will pre-vent as many dangerous situations as possible.

When it comes to IKA’s magnetic stirrers, safety is ensured through perfected design. IKA’s RCT magnetic stirrer’s guarantee safety by allowing self-monitoring of all safety features, as well as heating plates with two independent control circuits and easy-to-read displays. For example, adjustable safety circuits allow for the users to determine for themselves at which temperature the magnetic stirrer will automatically shut off.
