Re-Sealable Tubes in New Size
Dec 15 2009
Re-sealable plastic tubes of P-80® Temporary Rubber Assembly Lubricants are now available from International Products Corporation (IPC) in the new 10ml size and will be sold in cases of 100. The new tubes feature heat-sealed tips, which will prevent leaks during shipping and keep material fresh until it is used.
In addition to being useful for field service, the re-sealable plastic tubes offer seal distributors and other rubber component manufacturers a convenient way to be certain their clients use the proper lubrication for installing their parts or seals.
P-80® lubricants provide temporary lubrication that eases assembly of tight-fitting parts such as o-rings, hoses, seals, grommets, bushings, grips and many other parts. By reducing the force needed for assembly, P-80® products help speed production while lowering the incidence of damaged parts and injury to workers. P-80® lubricants are widely used in the automotive, appliance, and pump industries and are compatible with most elastomers, plastics, and metals.
The 10ml plastic tubes are available for sale in the following formulas: P-80® Emulsion Temporary Rubber Assembly Lubricant is a biodegradable formula with a milky consistency making it ideal for easing the assembly of o-rings, hoses, grommets and bushings. P-80® THIX Rubber Lubricant Gel is a thicker version of P-80® Emulsion that is also biodegradable, stays where it is applied without dripping and is especially useful for vertical or overhead applications. P-80® Grip-It Quick-Drying Temporary Lubricant dries quickly to allow the natural tight fit of rubber to return. P-80® Emulsion IFC and P-80® THIX IFC have similar lubricating properties as industrial P-80® Emulsion and P-80® THIX but are NSF registered as H1 lubricants and they meet FDA regulation 21 CFR 178.3570 allowing use in incidental food contact applications.
