New POC Cardiac Products Shown at Medica

With its continued growth as a provider of medical diagnostics, Inverness Medical Professional Diagnostics will be presenting its range of new cardiac products on stand C70, Hall 3 at this year's Medica exhibition. Alongside their successful point-of-care devices, Inverness Medical's new range will feature Biosite's portable triage meters that can read and interpret information from patient samples on a variety of cardiovascular diseases. Providing results in as little as fifteen minutes, the unique compact diagnostic meters are ideal for use near to the patient bedside.

With diagnostic products covering six core areas within health and disease - blood borne pathogens, drugs of abuse, respiratory and infectious diseases, cardiology and oncology, as well as women's health Inverness Medical has ensured a continuous flow of innovative products. Well known brands within the company's ever expanding range include Clearview, TestPack, Biosite, Cholestech LDX, Binax and Determine.

The most recent innovative rapid point-of-care diagnostic product from Inverness Medical is Clearview Complete HIV 1/2, launched in August, which makes HIV screening and follow-up easier than ever before. This single-use self contained system has everything needed for the processing and analysis of whole blood, serum or plasma for the detection of HIV 1 and 2 antibodies in as little as 15 minutes.
