The Glass Works Kavalierglass is the oldest specialised manufacturer of laboratory and technical glass in Europe. The basic plant, the glass works in Sázava, was founded by the Czech glassmaker and entrepreneur František Kavalier in 1837 and from the beginning he concentrated his attention on glass for pharmacies and laboratories.

Glass apparatus and glass equipment for chemical-technological processes are applied in all industrial branches, agriculture and health care. The advantage of glass apparatus, compared with equipment made of other materials, is its high resistance against action of aggressive agents and a perfect wall smoothness which enables maintaining of high purity and hygiene of the process and, thanks to transparency, it is possible to monitor the running process. Translucence enables application of apparatus for biochemical and photosynthetic processes. Simax glass industrial equipment can be used for processing chemical substances with the exception of hydrofluoric, fluorosilicic and hot concentrated lyes.

All glass parts are made of borosilicate glass 3.3 – Simax. This type of borosilicate glass is characterised by a high chemical resistance, low coefficient of linear thermal expansivity and thus a high resistance against temperature changes. Properties of the glass Simax are under a permanent supervisit and are certified in accordance with ISO 3585. Try the laboratory glass Simax and you will know quality.
