The Tablet Dissolution systems model DS 8000 and DS 14000 are used to analyse dissolution rate of tablets, capsules and other dosage forms. These systems conform to the latest norms as per USP, BP and other pharmacopeia’s specifications and ASTM methods described for Dissolution.

Dissolution studies involve 60 percent automated operations and 40 percent manual operation. Lab India Dissolution systems have been designed to minimise the manual errors by automation of the manual operations done in a dissolution process.

The conventional model DS 8000 with its (6+2) configuration allows simultaneous dispensing of tablets by means of a specially designed tablet dispenser. It is equipped with an intelligent sampling system comprising of the bidirectional 12 channel capacity Ismatec (SWISS make) peristaltic pump that carries out automated sampling as per USP Specifications with simultaneous media replenishment. It facilitates dissolution test using two buffers (buffer changing) specially to cater to the application of enteric coated tablets. The RTD Temperatures Sensor measures and records temperature of individual vessel at Zero interval and also at specified sample points. It allows sample collection of 6 sets using different capacities of vials. (5ml, 10ml, 15ml). So as to reduce contamination, it has the facility to rinse the entire sampling path in between sampling and specially developed cleaning system to clean the entire sampling path after each run.

The DS 14000 model (6+1, 6+1) includes above features and has been designed with R&D in mind such that comparative studies can be carried out wherein 6 bowls can be used for the research drug and 6 bowls for the comparator drug.

Conical shape evaporation recovery lid reduces media loss during long run. Also it is equipped with recovery test facility to study 100 % Drug Dissolution and has a software for calculating % D using individual tablet weight.
