Bubbles can cause process problems in many analytical systems and process water systems if not removed. MiniModules®, MicroModules®, and Liqui-Cel® Membrane Contactors offer a compact, in-line solution to remove bubbles from many liquids. Systems that introduce changes in pressures in their processes will have issues with foaming or excess bubbles coming out of solution if dissolved gasses are present. MiniModule® and MicroModule® Degassing Contactors offer an easy in-line means to debubble so that gasses are not an issue. In analytical and measurement systems, bubbles can negatively impact the readings of the equipment. Bubbles can show up as particles, for example, in particle monitors which will make the readings inaccurate. Again degassing modules can remove all of the bubbles in one simple step alleviating the problem.
Bubbles are also known to negatively impact cleaning processes with megasonic and ultrasonic equipment. In megasonic cleaning baths, bubbles can reduce the cleaning efficiency by refracting or absorbing the ultrasonic energy.
At the same time retaining a certain amount of some gasses, typically nitrogen or hydrogen, in the bath is beneficial. Liqui-Cel Membrane Contactors can provide total gas control in these applications to enhance the cleaning efficiency.
Membrane Contactors are available in several sizes to meet the needs of many industries. MiniModules® and MicroModules® are the ideal choice for small-scale system debubbling needs often found in laboratories where flow rates up to 2500 ml/min are common. Liqui-Cel Membrane Contactors handle larger flow rates as on device can process up to 91 m3/hr. Multiple devices are used together to process larger flow rates.
Membrana is the leader in membrane and membrane module development and has been manufacturing the membrane and membrane contactors for over 20 years. Degassing modules are ready to ship from inventory to meet the debubbling and degassing needs of the laboratory and analytical industries.
