Compact stand-alone titrator pairs PC-level capability with cloud connectivity

07 Oct, 2026

With the launch of the IONIC Titrator, Metrohm introduces a new generation of compact, stand-alone titrators that combines high-end performance with built-in mobile communication modules, which enables direct connection to the Metrohm Data Service, the cloud solution from Metrohm. Designed for modern labs that value precision, flexibility and ease of use, the IONIC Titrator delivers the power of a PC in a space-saving instrument without the need for an external computer.

When space is limited but performance is critical, the IONIC Titrator is the right choice. The instrument features a large 10-inch touch display that offers a tablet-like user experience, enabling intuitive operation through swiping, zooming and drag-and-drop. Thousands of determinations can also be stored directly on the instrument, allowing labs to work independently of a PC all whilst maintaining full control over both data and methods.

The IONIC Titrator offers a modular approach with users being able to connect up to four burettes, add up to three measuring interfaces and perform two titrations in parallel – either directly on the instrument or in combination with an autosampler. With the IONIC Titrator, potentiometric and Karl Fischer titrations can be performed on one instrument. Plus, labs will be able to configurate the IONIC Titrator to their current requirements to start and then expand the system step by step as needs evolve, protecting investments while maximising flexibility.
