A new benchmark in ion chromatography

Metrohm has launched OMNIS IC, a next-generation ion chromatography (IC) system designed to give labs greater flexibility, automation and confidence in their results.

Built around a modular hardware concept and the intuitive OMNIS Software platform, OMNIS IC allows labs to configure their system according to their individual requirements and expand as needed. Pumps, injectors, detectors and dosing units can all be combined to create tailored IC solutions, providing a scalable approach to increasingly complex analytical workflows.

Automation is central to OMNIS IC, helping labs reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency. Automated eluent preparation, liquid-level monitoring and integrated sample preparation techniques help streamline workflows. Intelligent injection options further simplify demanding applications whilst reducing the potential for user error.

Reliability is also built into the system, with OMNIS IC being able to continuously monitor key parameters including pressure, flow and liquid levels, while pre-run and equilibration checks help ensure measurements begin under stable conditions.

The entire system is operated through OMNIS Software, which means that OMNIS IC can be integrated with titration and near-infrared spectroscopy, allowing different analytical techniques and their results to be managed within a single software environment.
