Balance Management Software Updated

Mar 23 2009

Mettler Toledo has launched LabX balance v1.5, the latest version of the user-friendly software for balance management and data handling. With all the benefits of the previous version, LabX balance software continues to improve efficiency and productivity in the laboratory and promotes a high level of regulatory compliance through full support of the Good Weighing Practice (GWP®) guidelines.

The easy-to-use software offers full user guidance on the balance’s touch-screen display or a PC, and now includes more than 25 built-in job templates to simplify common tasks such as preparation of reference standards, assessing moisture or ash content, filter weighing, pipette calibration checking and many more. Creation of customised templates for each laboratory’s standard operating procedures is also now easier, with functions available for weighing, data acquisition and data storage.

LabX balance v1.5 is now fully compatible with Windows Vista® and activation of the software via the Internet has been made even easier. LabX connect balance v1.5 offers further improvements for integration of third party tools, with the updated System Integration Guide offering programming examples of important functions in three programming languages. As with the previous release, LabX balance v1.5 can be combined with Applied Biosystems’ SQL LIMS to provide a powerful, validated system for complete data management and control of laboratory processes.
