The TOXmini is a small portable and easy to use luminometer which is suitable for toxicity measurements in a wide variety of samples and applications.

The TOXmini is designed for rapid standard measurements of single samples. Measurement results are given in RLU’s (Relative Light Units), in accordance with the defined threshold values, the results could be classified and indicated by the illumination of the appropriate LED.

It automatically measures the luminescent effect of the Vibrio fischeri and will give an indication when the tested sample is toxic, by calculating the inhibition of the RLU’s produced by the bacteria Vibrio Fischeri.

The possibility to use the TOXmini both on mains power supply and rechargeable batteries, makes it besides an ideal laboratory application, a field system.

The optional software makes it possible to transfer data in a mouse-click directly into your application software by several file formats.

The advantages of the TOXmini in a single glance :

  • Battery and mains operable
  • Data memory for up to 2000 test results
  • Selective data administration (calling/deleting) by means of the location identification digit, sample number, date, time parameters.
  • 6 individual programme places for user-defined measuring programmes
  • Variable measurement times in order to obtain optimum results even in case of weak luminescence.
  • High resolution graphic display

Applications :

  • Testing intake-/surface water
  • Testing drinking water
  • Testing influent and effluent (waste water checking)
  • Process water security control for food applications for HACCP applications
  • Testing the sensitivity of the luminescent bacteria (Vibrio Fischeri)
  • Off-line comparison with the on-line TOXcontrol
  • QA/QC applications of bacteria and reagents
  • Other toxicity applications
