New SEM Sputter Coater System

The Q150R Rotary-Pumped Coater from Quorum Technologies launched at Microscience is the latest addition to the recently launched ‘Q’ series of new generation SEM and TEM deposition systems.

The Q150R combines state-of-the-art design with an exceptional high level of performance and flexibility - essential for the increasingly demanding requirements of SEM specimen preparation.

The Q150R is available in three formats: a sputter coater for noble metals, a carbon coater suitable for SEM applications, or both combined in a single space-saving system. An optional glow discharge attachment allows modification of specimen surface properties (for example, hydrophobic to hydrophilic conversion of TEM grids).

Built around a rugged moulded case with intuitive colour touch screen control, the Q150R allows quick access to both stored and customer-entered coating ‘recipes’. The performance and flexibility of the system is further enhanced by a wide range of cleverly designed ‘drop-in’ specimen stages and coating head inserts.

Like all other Quorum Technologies products, the Q150R comes with a three-year warranty.
