Rank Brothers, founded in 1957, is a family run company specialising in scientific instrument manufacture and precision machining. Founded by Edmund Rank the company soon branched out into instrument manufacture and has since gained a worldwide reputation for the quality and reliability of their products. Their customers benefit from being able to talk directly with Peter, his son and current MD, and they are able to respond quickly to requests for product support and one off modifications to their product range.

The highly experienced, friendly staff and engineering expertise puts Rank Brothers high into the market place, which enables them to manufacture components for research and analytical instruments. Their diverse range of products and close links with companies ranging from scientific, environmental, petroleum, universities and pharmaceutical, keeps Rank Brothers at the fore front of innovation.

The company has a well-equipped machine shop with modern CNC milling and turning centres that allow them to maintain the high standards and reproducibility of their products. They also carry out precision machining for similar companies and combined with sophisticated CADCAM software, allows them to produce rapid prototypes and low volume runs directly from their 3D models. They are also able to offer production engineering advice to customers and are pleased to be able to liaise directly with their design staff.
