Acrylamide Polymerisation Sachets Introduced

Severn Biotech Ltd has now introduced a sachet containing the two reactants Ammonium Per-sulphate and TEMED used in the polymerisation of Acrylamide monomer to form Poly-acrylamide gels. The sachet contains sufficient material, pre-mixed, to polymerise 125ml of gel solution within the concentration range 5-12% poly-acrylamide. The sachet reactants are simply washed into the gel solution with either Acrylamide solution or buffer. Additionally the sachet may be used at lower concentrations or volumes by adding 1ml of water or buffer to the sachet to flush the contents and aliquoted.

The advantages are ready to use odour free sachets and non hazardous shipping. The sachets are stable at room temperature and should be kept in a fridge at 4ºC for general storage. Acrylamide Polymerisation Sachets (Product Code 20-3002) are for laboratory use only and are available in packs of 10 with a shelf life of approximately 6 months.
