Combined Seating and Storage for Optimised Changing Room Space
Apr 10 2021
Hygienic furniture specialist Teknomek has launched compact step over seating benches intended to make the most of the space available in smaller changing rooms. The S-clad design builds in shoe compartments on both the unit for the ‘clean’ and ‘dirty’ sides of the room. This ensures further valuable space does not have to be expended on shoe storage for external and internal footwear.
Sue Springett, Commercial Manager at Teknomek, said: “Space is often at a premium in changing rooms, as choke points these represent a risk area when it comes to maintaining social distancing. As such, it’s in the best interests of businesses to make the most of the floor space available by reducing down the amount of furniture in the room as far as possible.
“The intelligent design of the S-clad seating benches helps solve this problem by integrating shoe storage and seating into a single item of furniture.”
The new benches are available in widths from 1000mm with a dedicated shelf for the clean and dirty sides. Customers can opt for 304-grade fully welded stainless steel as standard or choose 316-grade for additional corrosion resistance in line with their standard clean down procedures. Easy clean features include 50mm floor clearance for ease of access beneath the unit.
