Teknomek and Sealwise Launch cutting-edge lab furniture solution

Hygienic furniture specialist Teknomek’s new partnership with Sealwise brings laboratory operators a fantastic new range of furniture. It is anti-bacterial, anti-static, resistant to chemicals and fire-resistant, making it ideal for laboratory environments.

Made from Sealwise’s unique Waterproof Construction Board (WCB), the new collection provides a superb alternative for when stainless steel is not the preferred option.

Sealwise WCB utilises its own Sealwise Protect technology to provide fast, effective and long-lasting anti-bacterial protection which cannot be removed however rigorous the cleaning or wear and tear. The treated surfaces inhibit bacterial growth and reduce odours, making furniture constructed from WCB vastly more hygienic and durable than wood-based construction boards such as MDF.

As its name indicates, Sealwise WCB is also completely waterproof, not just water resistant. It means that products constructed from the board are extremely durable and suitable to for use in environments where contamination control and maintaining a hygienic culture is critical. Because the core of the board is made up of millions of minute bubbles bound together, there is no room for water – or bacteria – to get into the product under any circumstances.  It therefore has and excellent lifespan and offers customers superb value for money.

The Teknomek Sealwise one door, three drawer floor cabinet is available in a range of size options with adjustable legs. It is easy to install and can be joined to other Sealwise cabinets to form larger banks of units.

Made from waterproof WCB it has seamless joints thanks to Sealwise’s patented chemical welding technology and all surfaces are anti-bacterial and easy to clean.  The cabinet has soft close hinges, moulded drawer trays and both its legs and handles are power-coated and anti-microbial. 

The cabinet is available in Teknomek blue as standard, but other colours are available, including black to match up with any existing Trespa® units.

Another product from the new Teknomek Sealwise range is the seating bench which is ideal for changing rooms. Available in a range of sizes, it provides a robust, hygienic and easy to clean solution. It be ordered with one shelf, two shelves and there is also an S-clad two shelf version.  

Sealwise WCB also has superb environmental credentials.  It is made from PVC which, due to recent advances in recycling processes, is viewed as one of the greenest materials available because it can be recycled multiple times. The outer top and bottom surface of Sealwise WCB is made from virgin PVC and the core of the board is made from recycled UPVC.
