Biognosys AG, a Swiss proteomics company, have announced the new release of its Spectronaut™ software for analysis of Hyper Reaction Monitoring (HRM) data that will now support spectral library generation from the Thermo Scientific™ Proteome Discoverer™ platform.

From August 2013 Spectronaut™ software supports the analysis of DIA data generated on the Thermo Scientific™ Q Exactive™ Hybrid Quadrupole-Orbitrap Mass Spectrometer. In April 2014 spectral library generation capability based on MaxQuant search results was incorporated into the software. With the current Spectronaut™ release Biognosys enables Thermo Scientific™ customers to automatically generate spectral libraries from Proteome Discoverer™ search results.

HRM-MSTM is a targeted proteomics technology developed by Biognosys that is based on data-independent acquisition (DIA) performed on new generation mass spectrometric systems. With Biognosys’ Spectronaut™ software HRM enables reproducible and accurate quantification of 1000s of proteins in a single instrument run. The powerful principle behind Spectronaut™ is the integration of the software algorithms with a reagent kit – HRM Calibration Kit – that provides optimal customised parameter calibration and quality control: crucial steps for quantitation accuracy and reproducibility.

Spectronaut™ software is free for academic researchers who can obtain a software license at Biognosys’ online shop (academic e-mail account is required). Industry researchers are welcome to submit a Spectronaut™ order inquiry to order[at]biognosys.ch. Customers without an access to a state of the art mass spectrometer can benefit from Biognosys’ Proteome-SEQ™ discovery service that is based on the HRM-MS™ technology.
