Biological laboratories typically involve lots of work aspirating contaminated media from micro titer plates, cell cultural suspensions and cuvettes. This is all too often carried out using cobbled together, self-made apparatus.

The BioChem VacuuCenter systems BVC 21 NT and BVC 21 NT VARIO from Vacuubrand offers a very successful and professional alternative solution: comprising an efficient chemistry diaphragm pump complete with an autoclavable and shatterproof polypropylene collecting bottle enabling fast and efficient aspiration of liquids, even of large volumes. An automatic vacuum control makes hand or foot switches redundant.

The VacuuHandControl VHC is specifically designed for comfortable handling with rotating tip adapter (for right and left-handed people) capable of accepting most of the common pipettes or tips. In addition, the ergonomic hand unit has an integrated fine control thumb wheel thus making even precise microlitre aspiration of the smallest quantities possible. The collecting bottles are equipped with an autoclavable, hydrophobic filter and self-sealing quick-couplings for safe transportation. The special design of the bottle head minimises the risk of aerosol buildup in the collecting bottle and optimises the filter life. The unique ability to add a second hand control effectively halves the cost per user.

The BioChem VacuuCenter BVC 21 NT VARIO allows for graduated regulation of the suction force from gentle to brisk, which is achieved via an integrated speed adjustable pump, which at the same time provides for whisper-quiet, vibration-less operation. In an effort to improve safety even further in the laboratories Vacuubrand is now in addition to the BVC systems offering a second collecting bottle free of charge. Thus the availability of a safe, ready to use suction system is always to hand.
