Weiss Duro™ Electrodes Save you Time and Money

Nov 03 2010

One electrode fits all (Lab & Field). Weiss Duro™ (two fold purpose) electrodes help you to save a lot of routine operation time and costs. The Duro™ electrodes are designed for routine laboratory and industrial in-line use. With a threaded adaptor (1/2”, 3/4” (M) NPT), these lab electrodes are easily converted into industrial ones. When an electrode fails in field, there’s no need to worry about when the replacement can be delivered. Just use the lab one to replace it. Also, remember that lab electrodes are usually cheaper than industrial ones.

These Duro™ Electrodes are sealed with ElectroJelly™, which is a semi-solid material with highly concentrated salt (solid-state reference electrode). Unlike Gel sealed electrodes in which the reference electrolytes are easily contaminated or lost, the ElectroJelly™ can effectively hold electrolytes in the electrode and prevent contamination due to sample back-flow. The electrodes with ElectroJelly™ have more a stable output and longer life span - saving routine check and calibration time. Also, they can be used in harsh environments such as ones with temperature fluctuation, pressure (gel sealed electrodes will be easily contaminated by stream in this kind of condition), or noise (electrical), which other type of electrodes are barely able to survive, due to ElectroJelly™ reference and noise reduction technology.

Common features of Duro™ pH electrodes as an example:
• Epoxy Body or Glass body, Noise-Free
• ElectroJelly™ sealed (solid-state) Ag/AgCl reference
• Ceramic or porous polymer junction
• Full range pH 0-14
• Very low sodium (alkaline) error
• Very fast response (very low membrane resistance)
• Very stable output
