Azenta Life Sciences has introduced the BioArc™ Ultra, an automated solution revolutionising ultracold sample management. Designed to elevate large-scale sample handling, this breakthrough system promises to reshape biorepositories. The Ultra not only enhances operational efficiency but also champions eco-conscious practices, aligning with global carbon emissions reduction goals.

Featuring an innovative cooling system, the Ultra relies on natural air instead of ozone-depleting refrigerants. This eco-friendly approach boasts zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero global warming potential (GWP), meeting stringent sustainability criteria. Additionally, the system reduces electric power consumption by 70%, alongside a significant decrease in storage system footprint compared to manual alternatives.

Dean Montano, Senior Product Manager at Azenta, expressed pride in launching the BioArc Ultra. He emphasised the economic and environmental advantages it offers to customers in sample management. Montano underscores the company's commitment to automation for superior sample security, visibility, and operational efficiency, marking the Ultra as a pioneering addition to their product line-up.
