Refrigerators / freezers
A new generation of laboratory freeze dryers has been introduced, by Büchi Labortechnik, offering improved efficiency, automation and reduced environmental impact across routine and advanced drying applications.
The Lyovapor™ L-210 and L-250 systems have been developed to support laboratories requiring reliable and scalable freeze-drying performance, while addressing increasing demands for energy efficiency and sustainability.
The Lyovapor™ L-210 is equipped with EcoStream™ and Infinite-Control™ technologies, designed to optimise drying performance while maintaining stable and efficient cooling conditions. With a condenser capacity of up to 6 kg and a lowest condenser temperature of -55°C, the system delivers consistent performance alongside reduced cycle times and improved operational control. Its automated functionality is intended to simplify workflows and enhance reproducibility in laboratory drying processes.
For applications requiring deeper cooling performance, the Lyovapor™ L-250 extends capability with EcoStream™ technology and a lowest condenser temperature of -85°C. The system supports a condenser capacity of up to 5 kg and a condensing capacity of up to 4 kg per 24 hours, making it suitable for more demanding freeze-drying workflows. Certified with the ACT label for selected configurations, the system reflects a continued focus on reducing environmental impact while maintaining performance standards.
Both systems are designed to support laboratories in improving process efficiency while lowering the environmental footprint associated with freeze-drying operations. By combining automation, performance stability and sustainability-focused engineering, the Lyovapor™ range streamlines freeze-drying workflows across research, pharmaceutical and industrial applications.
