With the launch of the Minitron incubator shaker, Infors HT is following

on from the worldwide success of the Multitron incubator shaker. The Minitron offers an attractive, space-saving design and a powerful drive. Even at maximum load with a culture volume of 7.5 L, the Minitron‘s low-vibration operation is a persuasive factor. The new wireless data transmission allows the user-friendly recording of process data.

The Minitron has the same outstanding characteristics as its big brother, the Multitron, but on a smaller scale. The high incubation chamber of the Minitron holds Erlenmeyer flasks of up to 5 litres. With the proven cooling and CO2 control options and the Hygienic Direct Steam Humidification, the Minitron can be optimally configured for any particular application.

The microbial version comes with a new, extra-strong drive. “Even at the maximum load with Ultra-Yield Flasks™ (Thomson) and a culture volume totalling 7.5 L, the Minitron’s low-vibration and lownoise operation are persuasive factors,” emphasised Dr Daniel Bruecher, Product Manager Shakers at Infors HT. “Our customers can enjoy the benefits of maximum oxygen transfer for practically every application as well as optimal growth.”

The Minitron also makes light work of the stringent requirements of cell culture. In addition to the precise CO2 control, the Minitron offers uniquely low CO2 consumption that is comparable to that of a static incubator. Hygienic Direct Steam Humidification prevents evaporation/vaporisation from shaker

flasks, thereby ensuring a constant culture volume. The package is rounded off with an easy-clean interior.

The combination of Iris 6 Parallel Bioprocess Control Software and wireless data transmission offers convenient process data recording options and user-friendly control with the help of time and event based profiles.
