LTE Scientific is advancing sustainable laboratory practices with the launch of its new energy-efficient lab drying cabinet. Designed to reduce energy consumption while maintaining reliable performance, the Eco-Drying Cabinet offers laboratories a practical way to lower their environmental footprint without compromising drying results.

Efficiency-driven design

Laboratories are among the most energy-intensive workplaces, often consuming several times more energy than standard offices. With sustainability targets increasingly important across research, healthcare, and industrial labs, equipment that actively supports energy reduction is essential.

The Eco-Drying Cabinet has been developed through extensive research and independent testing, achieving energy savings of up to 65% compared with traditional glassware drying cabinets. Its low external heat output also helps create a more comfortable laboratory environment and reduces additional cooling demands on HVAC systems.

A five-sided insulation strategy retains heat where it is needed for effective drying while minimising loss to the surrounding workspace. This delivers faster drying times and enhanced overall energy efficiency.

Practical features for sustainable operation

Alongside its energy-saving credentials, the cabinet offers practical functionality. A digital temperature controller allows precise drying conditions, while a programmable seven-day timer enables operation to be scheduled around working hours, preventing unnecessary energy use. Its durable stainless-steel exterior is easy to clean and maintain, supporting long-term operation with minimal intervention.

Sustainability has been considered throughout the cabinet’s design, from material selection to manufacturing. Locally sourced components reduce transport-related emissions, and production processes have been refined to minimise material waste.
