Quantitech Ltd is launching the Prodigy high dispersion ICP spectrometer and the company’s Dr Gareth Pearson says “Prodigy is Teledyne Leeman Lab’s top of the range instrument which delivers unsurpassed productivity and performance alongside advanced analytical capabilities, including Halogen, Nitrogen, Time Resolved and Qualitative Analysis.”

Prodigy’s superior analytical performance is achieved by the high dispersion Echelle optical system coupled with the state-of-the-art Large Format – Programmable Array Detector (L-PAD). The result is continuous wavelength coverage from 165 to 1100 nm combined with high resolution for interference free analysis and simultaneous measurement of peak and background intensities.

Prodigy delivers increased laboratory productivity with dependable operation. Fast warm up and drift free analysis is achieved by thermally stabilised optics and image stabilised ICP source. The linear dynamic range is extended with dedicated radial, axial or dual view configurations. A high efficiency 40.68 MHz free running oscillator provides superior tolerance to a wide variety of sample types including high solids and organics.

The creation of high quality spectral information is greatly simplified by the Salsa software, which includes scheduled maintenance prompts, and a range of AutoSamplers.

Teledyne Leeman Labs, through UK distributor and service partner Quantitech, is able to provide analytical solutions designed specifically to meet individual needs. A range of ICP spectrometers, tailored for specific applications, are available. These include; High Throughput, Oil and Biodiesel Analysers, Containment Solutions and Transportable Instruments.
