First Raman Analyzer to Atex Safety Standards is Certified

Kaiser Optical Systems Inc (KOSI) is pleased to announce that it has completed the process of and has received ATEX certification for its process Raman systems. The certification includes the RamanRxn3? process Raman analyzer.

The ATEX directive regulates the use of laser-based system in hazardous environments. The directive is aimed at maximizing safety in the workplace by minimizing hazards. "Kaiser is the first company to receive ATEX certification for a Raman analyzer," says Ian Lewis, Marketing Manager at Kaiser. "Compliance with the ATEX directive is critical for the safe use of Raman analyzers in classified environments. Kaiser's approach allows the user considerable flexibility when configuring the analyzer while maintaining safety as demanded by the ATEX directive."
