LNI Schmidlin SA is proud to announce the launch of a second new product for 2015.

The FID Station plus is an all-in-one generator for both hydrogen grade 6.0 and a zero air dedicated to GC-FID analytical devices.

Main unique benefits of this dual generator are first, to avoid analytical background noise, allowing very low detection levels of a FID system and for carrier gas applications, secondly, to remove all the logistics and costs associated with gas cylinders, and finally, to save space on the bench.

The breakthrough design provides a virtual ‘zero footprint’ benefit as the generator is ideally placed under the GC (compatible for up to 80 kg), thus removing the need to keep a space on top or below the bench for the device.

The FID Station uses the latest Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) already installed in the PG and NM LNI Schmidlin series, which performances are appreciated in many thousands of places worldwide, and even recommended from leading GC manufacturers and GC specialists.

Top of the range specifications of this generator are derived from the model designed for standard laboratories:  Models available from 100 cc/min H2 flow up to 600 cc/min H2 flow, 99.9999% purity, pressure up to 11 bar, high safety features including more than 10 warnings and alarms with automatic generator shut-off with also an exclusive shock sensor. The large internal water tank (7 litres) provides a hydrogen generation autonomy of up to 4 months without refilling.

The optional air generator with 1500 cc/min flow, removes HC impurities down to 0.1 ppm and provides the perfect zero air to feed the FID / FPD detectors.
