Launch of Sterling Portable -86ºC Freezer

Skadi Europe BV launches a revolutionary new portable -86ºC ultra low temperature freezer. This ULT Freezer requires only 12 Volts input and uses less than 150 Watts of power. In fact, this ULT freezer can be powered by a standard cigarette lighter accessory port available in modern automobiles. In case of power failure the unit remains - 86ºC on a standard UPS or battery.

The 25 litre freezer is cooled using Sterling technology. The Free Piston Stirling Cooler (FPSC) is a device which excludes the use of heavy and space consuming compressors. Gas bearings allow the only two moving parts of the system to ‘ride on a cushion of air’ keeping the running surfaces from making contact while the machine is operating. This results in a stable, low power and low noise freezer.

Skadi® Sterling Portable Freezers are available in two temperature ranges: -45ºC and -86ºC. The units run on 115 V, 220V and 12 V. Learn more on www.skadi-europe.com.
