VICI Precision Sampling PRESSURE-LOK® SYRINGES

VICI Precision Sampling Pressure-Lok® analytical syringes feature PTFE plunger tips with leak-proof seals. Self-lubricating plunger tips are designed to always remain smooth, without the seizing or residue of conventional metal plunges. Needles are sealed by PTFE sleeves that isolate samples and prevent adhesive dissolution and contamination. All Pressure-Lok® syringes feature ultrasmooth bores, easily replaceable parts, low dead volume, clear graduations, and precision calibration.

Advantages of the Series A Syringe:

The A-2 Series’ push-button valve allows for sample storage of up to 250 psi in syringes as small as 25 µl. Ideal for small liquid samples containing low-boiling components otherwise lost through evaporation with ordinary syringes.

The positive rear stop, available starting at 250 µl, prevents plunger blowout at elevated pressures and protects against sample loss and operator injury. The A-2 Syringe includes all standard Pressure-Lok features: PTFE plunger tip, PTFE sealed needle, and ultrasmooth bore. Replacement components are available for quick and easy repair.

MAGNUM SYRINGE

Advantages of the Magnum Syringe:

• Built-in twist-lock valve
• Seals the sample (up to 30 psi) during transportation to analysis site
• Up to 500 ml capacity
• For sampling low concentration levels
• Positive rear plunger stop
• Prevents plunger from blowing out when contents are pressurized

The Magnum Syringe has been used successfully to trap atmospheric contaminants such as sulfur dioxide and oxides of nitrogen. Specially calibrated for trace sample isolation, the Magnum Syringe’s twist-lock valve seals the sample inside the syringe to maintain its integrity during transportation to the analysis site.

The positive displacement capability of the durable PTFE plunger seal supports subsequent procedures involving extraction or concentration of trace components, e.g. cryogenic enrichment apparatus.

A female threaded fitting (1/4-28) is the standard termination, which accepts a variety of low pressure Cheminert connectors or adapters. Uniquely designed seals permit leak-proof operation of up to 30 psi (approximately 2 atmospheres).

D-140 LIQUID SYRINGE

Advantages of the D-140 Liquid Syringe:

• Eliminates accidental plunger removal and resultant damage

• All parts are replaceable and easy to assemble

The Series D-140 Liquid Syringe is specifically designed for small volume injections into liquid chromatographs. The entire sample is held in the needle and is totally displaced when the plunger is depressed, minimizing residuals or variation in sample size. The PTFE seals, needle, plunger, and barrel are all replaceable. Thanks to its superior alignment, the Series D-140 can easily be assembled and reassembled.
