Back in 2023 Axair and a group of close companies chose to support the Ukrainian medical transportation crisis as their 23-24 charitable initiatives. Since Russia's war on Ukraine it’s reported that there have been over 500 attacks against Ukraine's health care causing a devastating effect on the medical transport of the country’s health system. Axair planned to raise enough funds to purchase, service and maintenance, and transport three ambulances to the Ukraine. The initial combined target was set to £30,000 which we’re delighted to announce, was successfully achieved in late 2023. The ambulances were not sent across empty either, additional contributions meant that books, clothes, soft toys, and medical equipment alongside other items filled the ambulances.

It's been a wild few months of word of mouth, fundraisers, event stands, bucket collections, supermarket bag packing, hosting quizzes at community centres, a 24 hour cross train marathon, and flyering across local towns. We were even featured on Radio Northwich during the Current Affairs Programme hosted by Mike Cooksley. An experience none of us expected we would do in our lifetimes/

A total of five ambulances were finally driven to Ukraine, completing and exceeding all charitable initiative goals.
