New leadership to drive innovation in analytical science

SCIEX, a global leader in life science analytical technologies, has named Chris Hagen as its new President, effective immediately. Hagen brings a wealth of experience from his previous role at Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Core Lab Specialty Solutions.

As President, Hagen is focused on driving operational excellence and accelerating innovation at SCIEX, known for its cutting-edge contributions to analytical science. His leadership will guide the company in addressing some of the most pressing challenges in research and analytical testing.

Hagen’s career spans over two decades, with leadership roles in prominent healthcare companies. Before Beckman Coulter, he played an instrumental role in marketing and strategic growth at Hospira, a subsidiary of Pfizer, and Abbott. At Beckman Coulter, he oversaw several key business units, driving their innovation and growth strategies.

He succeeds Joe Fox, who has moved on to lead Beckman Coulter Life Sciences. Reflecting on his tenure, Fox shared: “SCIEX has made tremendous strides during my time as President, from pushing the boundaries of mass spectrometry to expanding into new areas like icIEF-UV and ADME. Chris is the perfect leader to continue SCIEX’s vision and take the company to even greater heights.”
