New appointment to drive growth at Oxford innovation hubs

19 Feb, 2026

The Oxford Trust has appointed Michelle Webb as its new associate director of operations, bringing 15 years of experience in science innovation and technology support.

Webb joins from Oxford Innovation, where she managed the Harwell Innovation Centre. She will now oversee operational delivery across The Oxford Trust’s innovation programme and its two Oxford innovation centres, which house start-ups, scale-ups, and ecosystem support organisations.

Her appointment comes as the Trust expands its facilities, including the new Aspen Building at the Wood Centre for Innovation, which will add 17,000 ft2 (1,600 m2) of high-quality laboratory and technical space for growing companies when it opens in July 2026.

Steve Burgess, CEO of The Oxford Trust, said: “Michelle’s deep understanding of the innovation landscape, combined with her operational expertise, will strengthen our ability to deliver excellent programmes and spaces for entrepreneurs and high-growth companies.”

Webb added: “I’m thrilled to join The Oxford Trust at such a dynamic time. I look forward to supporting operational excellence and helping unlock new opportunities for the companies and partners based across the Trust’s centres.”
