For a number of years Analytix has promoted the ability to perform quick and easy total fat analysis using microwave assisted hydrolysis and extraction gravimetric method with a Milestone EthosX that provides the ability to quantify total fats in up to 15 food samples in under two hours.
Recently the company expanded the capability to not only allow for the quantification of free fats present but to also perform esterification for FAME analysis. The Ethos X allows for total fats and free fat analysis along with sample preparation for FAME analysis on one system platform whilst vastly reducing time taken.
